Remove Backlogs

If there is delay in processing requests for access,
Agencies can be the subject of criticism from the media and external review bodies such as the Victorian Information Commissioner, the Victorian Civil and
Administrative Tribunal and the Victorian Ombudsman.

FOI Assist can help you to get back on track by
working through your backlog quickly and efficiently during business hours and on weekends.

Conduct Audits

FOI Assist can conduct an audit of your Agency’s FOI processes so that you can be confident that you are complying with the
legislation and the FOI Professional Standards.

FOI Assist can advise you on what will streamline your processes so as to assist you to meet the statutory timeframes.

Part II Statements

Part II of the FOI Act requires every Government Agency to publish Statements outlining their organisation, functions, rules, policies and procedures as relevant to the public, as well as details of reports or submissions prepared by or for that Agency. These
Statements are collectively referred to as the ‘Part II Statement’ and are required to be updated and published by 1 January each year on the Agency’s website.

FOI Assist can develop or update your current Part II Statement.
